I was setting up a webserver on Debian 7 but ran in to a dependency issue for nginx. It said I needed libssl0.9.8. Well I had libssl1.0.x which left me wondering was it in compatible. Yes it is. I needed to download the deb and install it.

wget the correct deb http://snapshot.debian.org/package/openssl098/0.9.8o-7/#libssl0.9.8_0.9.8o-7
Then install it.
sudo dpkg -i libssl0.9.8\_0.9.8o-7\_i386.deb
